Compass Foreign Languages has teaching positions for immediate start and for 2008

Compass is a well-established private language school in Tianjin, a port city close to Beijing. Owing to recent growth, we urgently need qualified, experienced teachers to join our enthusiastic team of international and local teachers.
Our students are motivated to prepare for study or work overseas. The minimum student age is 17 years, but most are in their 20s or early 30s. The students enjoy our interactive style of teaching and learning, with classroom and computer-based learning. Our classroom facilities are comfortable and modern.
We need native English-user language teachers, who are:
• able to teach a range of levels in General English with an oral focus
• qualified, experienced and enthusiastic about teaching English
Requirements:
1. Native English speaker
2. BA Degree (in any field)
3. English language teaching experience (using interactive teaching methods)
4. CELTA or equivalent TEFL qualification (or TEFL/TESL focus in your degree) preferred
Our contract includes:
• standard work load of 21 hrs/wk, usually Mon to Fri, though some weekend classes may be scheduled; overtime is paid for teaching hours beyond 21 hrs/wk;
• competitive pay rates from 6,000 - 12,000 RMB /month, based on qualifications, experience and term of service with Compass;
• private, furnished accommodation (teacher pays for utilities)
• two month mutual trial period at beginning of the contract
• all visa fees are covered by the school
• holidays: one week at each of China's four national holidays
• one free staff trip per year to a major attraction
• return air fare on completion of a 12 month contract
• free airport pick-up upon arrival
